Saturday afternoon, 10 June 2023: Nick is now safely back home in BW having walked about 530 miles, overcoming many obstacles and managed to get just south of Chicklade on the A303. He accepted a lift from Flora for the last 20 miles as he absolutely had to be back by this evening, 14 days after starting on the Scottish border.
It’s been an outstandingly magnificent effort and congratulations to him for such a mammoth feat. Thanks to everyone for all their support and encouragement and to all those who have helped Nick along the way, all 520 miles walked.
Pennine Way walked from N to S, approx 250 miles in 8 days (most walkers take at least a fortnight!) And then the length of the Peak District National Park, all in just 14 days to walk from the Scottish Border to home, 550 miles. Amazing determination!
